your performance according to the above scale and not in comparison to your peers.
Exams: Lecture exams will be short answer ( lists, phrases, outlines, and diagrams accepted ) and
essay ( only complete sentences and well formed paragraphs accepted ).
The final exam will be cumulative with approximately 30% from the entire semester.
Numerous quizzes will be given during the course at the beginning of class. If you are not present
when the quiz is handed out you may NOT take or make up the quiz. The best five quizzes will be
used to determine your grade. Quizzes will usually cover material from previous lectures.
Make Ups: 1. No make up quizzes given.
2. Lecture exams may only be made up IF THE INSTRUCTOR IS NOTIFIED in advance...
....AND if the reason is acceptable to the instructor.
3. The make up exam MUST be taken on the day of thefinal.
4. The make up will have whatever format which the instructor desires AND it may or may not
be comprehensive.
5. You may make up ONLY ONE EXAM, and you may NOT make up the final.
Academic
Honesty: The instructor reserves the right to assign a grade of ZERO POINTS to any assignment
or exam or quiz in which the student is caught cheating. If you have questions as to what
constitutes cheating (besides the obvious....using materials other than those specified by
the instructor...supplying others with materials or opportunities for cheating....discussing
with or looking off of other students work ), please discuss this with your instructor
in advance to a testing situation.
