Off-campus Library Access
Certain weekly assignments will require you to access library
databases for reading to supplement the text and weekly material. The good news is that you will not have to go
to the library, as both IVC and Saddleback allow distance learners off-campus
access to many of their databases. Here is a brief tutorial on how to access the
off-campus material for IVC and

Access
From the IVC homepage, select the Library icon.

Look at the links on the left side and select Databases (Off-campus)

You will then come to the log in page. Please use your IVC Email log in user name and password, then select Login.

There are two main databases that will be used for the class, Proquest and LexisNexis.


(** If you are having problems accessing either of these databases
after logging in, please email me for assistance).
Note
for Norton Users:
The Norton Internet Security product will block access to some of these
databases. Here are Instructions (PDF) to configure Norton to allow access to
these databases.
Similar Internet security products (McAfee, ZoneAlarm,
etc.) may block access to these online resources. For each product, the host
name of the database website has to be added to the product's list of
"safe" websites. See your product documentation for more information.
